Featured Business: La Boutique
La Boutique Upscale Resale is located at 115 E. Grand River Ave. and has been a downtown Howell staple since 2004, offering women an upscale resale shopping experience. Previous owners, Mary Ann and Mike McCray, passed the business on to new owners, Hilary and Joe Morphew, in March of 2023.
Hilary and Joe Morphew, now celebrating a year of ownership of La Boutique, are running the business similarly to the McCray’s, but with a few tweaks. While La Boutique continues to resell mid- to upper-tier brands, the shop is building their inventory of bridal gowns and now offers bridal appointments.
La Boutique is also very involved in downtown Howell activities and events like Witches’ Night Out, Holiday Ladies’ Night Out, Plaid Friday, and much more. Owner Hilary is also an employee of Rooted Chiropractic, located just a block away from La Boutique, and even serves as a downtown Howell Block Captain, donating her extra time and energy to ensure businesses on her block remain in the loop when it comes to downtown happenings.
