Portrait Drawing Sessions

Once a month, Open Studio shifts into a dedicated portrait session. These gatherings focus on capturing expression, personality, and detail as a live model holds a sustained pose. Unlike our weekly figure drawing sessions, portrait models remain clothed and may bring in expressive elements—unique chairs, props, accessories, or interesting outfits—to challenge your observation and inspire creativity.

Portrait sessions offer a relaxed environment for artists to slow down, study likeness, and explore texture, mood, and storytelling through drawing. All skill levels are welcome.
Please bring your own art supplies; tables and chairs are provided.

A $10 fee is collected at the door, and participants should enter through the Walnut Street side entrance marked “Staff Only.”
