Featured Business: Griff’s Grill
We are so excited to welcome Griff’s Grill to downtown Howell! After starting out in a food truck, this local and family-owned slider shop is now at a brick-and-mortar location at 1009 E. Grand River in Howell. The grill is named after the owner’s (Joe Matley) late son, Griffin, who hoped to one day own a restaurant of his own. Joe co-owns the business with his father, Bob Matley. Joe’s two other children also work at Griff’s and hope to one day follow in their father’s footsteps and continue the business.
When you walk into Griff’s, you will be greeted with a smile and friendly, fast service. Griff’s has all the burger stand staples…fries, shakes, sliders, onion rings, chicken tenders, chili cheese fries, and more. When it comes to sliders, our personal favorites are the truffle shuffle (grilled onion, mushrooms, Swiss cheese, truffle mayo, on a pretzel bun) and The Highlander (named after the Howell High School mascot, double cheeseburger, grilled onion, lettuce, pickle, and Griff’s boss sauce). Griff’s also caters to those with dietary restrictions or preferences by offering vegetarian and gluten free options.
