Join the Livingston Diversity Council for a FREE film screening of the inspirational 2023 film “Rustin” at the Historic Howell Theater – donations requested, not expected. Doors open at 6:30pm | Showtime is at 7:00 pm.
About the film: Bayard Rustin, advisor to Martin Luther King Jr., dedicates his life to the quest for racial equality, human rights and worldwide democracy. However, as an openly gay Black man, he is all but erased from the civil rights movement he helped build.
This film is rated PG-13 for thematic material, racial violence, sexual material, language including racial slurs, brief drug use, and smoking – please use your discretion when considering minor attendance.
