From the Storybook Collection: Needle Felted Folk Characters

Create your own Storybook Folk Character from wool.

Inspired by the characters found in old storybooks and folk traditions, each one develops a personality all its own. Choose from deep woodland tones, rich burgundy hues, or soft water and sky blues, then personalize your character with your choice of skin tone and hair color.

To complete your creation, you’ll craft a rustic broom from natural materials. Keep it simple and timeless, or embellish it with dried herbs, flowers, and woodland touches that help tell your character’s story. You’ll also have the option to mount your finished piece on a natural stone base or take it home unattached for your own creative display.

As your character takes shape, you’ll learn the needle felting techniques that bring it to life with expression and personality. More experienced felters will have time to add extra details, and everyone will take home their felting needles and extra wool to continue refining their character after class.

Your finished character will become a charming addition to a bookshelf, seasonal display, or collection of handmade treasures.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

3 or more weeks before the workshop: full refund.

2–3 weeks before the workshop: full credit toward a future workshop

Less than 2 weeks before : non-refundable, but you may transfer your spot to someone else. If you are unable to attend and cannot transfer your ticket, some workshops may offer the option to pick up the supplies used in class at a later date. However, this is not available for all workshops.

By registering for this Mi Craft House class, you acknowledge that crafting involves the use of tools, materials, and equipment that can be sharp, hot, or messy. You accept all responsibility for your own safety and the safety of any minors you bring, and release Mi Craft House, its staff, and instructors from any liability for injury, damage, or loss of personal property that may occur during the class.

Photo / Social Media Waiver

By participating in this class, you grant Mi Craft House permission to take photographs or videos of you and your work for use in promotional materials, social media, or educational content. You understand that you will not receive compensation for this use, and that images may be used at the studio’s discretion.  (you may opt out of photos/media during checkout)
